SUMMARY:Teaching Fellows Institute Free Parent and Community Talk- Passion\, Purpose and Perseverance
DESCRIPTION:Passion\, Purpose\, and Perseverance\nNo doubt\, you have been told to “find your passion” or even “follow your bliss”\, and perhaps you have even gone as far to pass on this allegedly sage advice to your children. Yet in doing so\, we may be unknowingly setting them up for failure by sending them on a wild goose chase or in search of buried treasure. Instead of “finding” our passions as if they were lost\, research suggests that we should instead be cultivating them from within.\n\nOur presenter is Prof. Brian Housand.\nProf. Housand was honored to be selected as part of the #NASAsocial team for the InSight Mars Landing this past November! He  tweeted from @NASAJPL with all the NASA engineers and scientists during the landing! Learn about his work at his website: http://www.brianhousand.com/\n \nDuring this professional learning experience you will learn how to accomplish the following in yourself and your children and overcome the unseen forces that stand in the way of true inspiration.\nDefeat Digital Distractions\nOvercome Imposter Syndrome\nDevelop Your Superpower\nPrioritize the Purpose\nPersevere in the Face of Adversity\nDare Mighty Things http://www.brianhousand.com/insight.html
