TFI’s annual Teacher Appreciation Luncheon will be held on Saturday, April 18th at the Harvey B. Gantt Center for African-American Arts + Culture from 11 am to 1 pm. The keynote speaker is William McNeely, Founder and CEO of Do Greater Charlotte Inc. and the Creative Labs. He will discuss, “The Power of GRIT: Goals, Resourcefulness, Intentionality & Tenacity,” and how to cultivate these traits in young people. TFI Fellow Rochelle Stanley will perform an original poem honoring teachers and TFI Fellow & Board member Cheryl Riley will give remarks. There will also be a guided tour of the Gantt Center exhibits at the conclusion of the luncheon.
