Independent Research from the UNCC College of Education confirms TFI’s transformative outcomes for TFI Fellows and TFI’s value proposition of retaining outstanding teachers in education. 99% of responding Fellows remain in education-a rate far exceeding the general population according to researchers.
TFI’s first collaborations with local governmental entities began in 2017. Based on TFI’s successful training of Fellows in the 3D printing and computer coding spaces, the City of Charlotte’s YOUTH TRAINING & INNOVATION PROGRAM approached TFI to plan a 2018 collaboration. TFI collaborated with Mecklenburg County and the Winer Family Foundation on a screening and discussion of the documentary Resilience: The Biology of Stress and the Science of Hope.
