|This year TFI responded to many years of requests by our Alumni Fellows to be able to participate again in the Annual Summer Symposium. The symposium had two foci: Training for Work and Life and Optimizing Student and Teacher Working Memory. Reviews from the symposium rated the symposium as Excellent.|
Other programs during the year included a book talk with nationally recognized author Michael B. Horn, a tour of Charlotte’s Brooklyn neighborhood with the Museum of the New South, an April Teacher Appreciation luncheon, a new TFI Talks series with TFI Fellows as speakers and working with 100 Gardens of Charlotte.
TFI weathered a challenging fundraising environment by adapting our programming so that it still both met the professional needs of our Fellows and inspired them. Despite the challenging environment, TFI both added to its Alumni Fellows and provided experiences for a similar percentage of Alumni Fellows. For more information visit our Guide Star profile here.
