Dr. Linda Hoopes—Developing Personal Resilience

Program Overview:

Teachers have an important role in supporting and nurturing the resilience of their students. At the same time, they are often facing significant challenges in and out of the classroom that call on their own resilience. In this half-day workshop, we will discuss common and uncommon challenges in the lives of participants, and explore four building blocks of personal resilience that help you successfully address them: calming yourself, selecting strategies, solving problems, and managing energy. You’ll complete a self-assessment of your resilience, share examples of successfully dealing with adversity, and identify specific habit-based strategies for tapping into your own resilience and building your capability to thrive in turbulence. www.resiliencealliance.com
