Tracy Miller (Class of 2011) recently won a PRISM (Promoting Innovation in Science and Mathematics) Award from Burroughs Wellcome Fund. Tracy is a teacher at Metrolina Regional Scholars Academy, a charter school for highly gifted students in Charlotte, NC. The PRISM award funds will be used to create a hydroponic garden at the Scholars Academy. The garden, with unlimited potential for growth, will provide a host of experiential learning opportunities for students, including themes of sustainability, recycling, water conservation, and healthy eating. Congratulations Tracy!
